Mars Retrograde/Direct

Transits are the most obvious and immediately evident way in which astrological influences can be shown to continue beyond the natal horoscope. They are a rich and complex means of exploring and suggesting ongoing opportunities for personal/psychological development within, not only an individual, but also within Families, and Countries.

Mars Retrograde/Direct

Post by admin »

At last our energies can start to move into forward drive as Mars turns direct on the 14th Nov. (at 0:35:37 am UT) at 15 Aries 14' .  Yes, we are still awaiting direct motions of Uranus and Neptune (and not forgetting Chiron), but clearly, life is on the move, hopefully in the right direction.

Notably, on the same day that Mars turns direct, the comet "Atlas" makes its closest approach to Earth, almost - but not quite - visible to the naked eye (spaceweather.com - Tues. Nov. 10, 2020).

(One of)  the degree symbols for the 16th Deg. of Aries warns of "egocentric pride".   Couple this with "Atlas" ("hard, enduring"- Virgil) who was condemned to "stand at the Western edge of the Earth and... hold up the Heavens" as a punishment (by Zeus/Jupiter) for his part in challenging the Gods of Olympus, and we have some thinking to do about what this might all mean to we mortals, both individually and collectively.

At the very least, awareness of our actions and motives must surely be at the top of the list ?
Are we weighed down by an inability to move forward on our own personal "wants"  or by our spiritual, moral and ethical needs? ;  by selfish desires, or by the state of the planet and the needs of others ?
